Data
Members have access to the following data and features:-
Cases
MCLJ
Publications
These currently contain all Current Law Journal and Supplement
decisions reported in MCLJ printed publications from 1981 to present day. In
addition the Industrial Law Reports are included from 1980.
Members are able to print out judgments in .pdf
format in exactly the layout in which they appear in the MCLJ
publications. This facility allows members to see and use page
numbers and paragraph lettering just as if they had a printed copy of the
judgment. This feature alone is worth over RM10,000 of hard copy
journals.
LN Series (LNS)
This series is cases that have not been
published by MCLJ. Significant
and selected cases from 1894 to present day are available
to members. These cases are generally not head-noted though some
have catchwords. We are constantly adding cases to this database.
We have the largest database of Malaysian cases, including previously
unpublished cases. New cases are added to the LNS on a regular
basis. If the case is sent in digital format by the court (i.e. on disk
or by email)
MyLawBox will always publish it and usually within 24 hours of receipt.
MyLawBox actively encourages all courts to send judgments in digital
format.
Case
Citator
This feature is unique to MyLawBox.
Quickly find all cases that subsequently refer to a particular case simply by
clicking on the link "CASE CITATOR" on the case. This will save you time
getting the latest information on a particular case. The cases found are
all those cases that are linked to the original case. You can find more cases
this way than currently available in any hard copy reference. Of course
the citator is updated every time a new case is added to the database - you can
be sure of finding the latest information.

Principal Legislation
This consists of all Federal Numbered Acts from Act 1 to present day.
There are over 700 such enactments. In addition several Rules are

incorporated into the Acts soon after they are in force. Changes are
noted on the Principals Acts. In 2002 we are working on versioning several of
these acts so that members can see the act as it was at a specified date.
Malaysian Subsidiary
Legislation
This consists of Selected Rules and
Regulations from the PUA series - dating from 1957. There are over 300
such rules and regulations. These are updated with amendments. MyLawBox
will add more additional Rules and Regulations, as they are available in the
future. In addition all PUA's from 1999+ are included. Lists of
other PUA and PUB's are included.

We aim for the best quality in content and
service. Users can expect emails answered within a reasonable time no matter
when they are sent and phone assistance during Malaysian office hours. We give
expert assistance to users having genuine difficulty in locating a case or
legislation.
We do not expect all our users to be IT literate
and are available to educate them in use of this service. Training sessions at
your office may be arranged for larger groups. Help files are available for all
the databases to explain how the search works, how to locate information easily
and many examples of searches are given. We believe that if a new member who
has no search experience uses the database regularly they will be doing expert
searches within a few hours of using our search engine. We have tried to make
it simple and flexible for accurate results.
